Undershadows Demo Update [8.8]

Welcome to a new update for Undershadows, which brings with it some innovations and general improvements to the gaming experience.



New and improvements:

  • Heart Knight has been completely reworked, the previous version served as a placeholder. Now Heart Knight has 20 complete levels


  • In the garbage room you will now be automatically taken to the next section if you keep the monsters at a distance with light long enough and you no longer have to press the big switch when the signal sounds


  • The mask has been improved in the sequence after your soul is taken


  • 2 new enemies and 1 sidequests were added to the demo


  • The caves have been expanded


  • The life of some enemies has been adjusted




Bug fixes:

  • Fixes a bug after talking to Asuthem a second time

  • Fixes a bug in fast travel, everything should work now

  • Fixes a bug in the 2nd glass room where the door didn't open

  • Fixes a sound bug that could occur after leaving the portal

  • Fixes a bug that was displayed after the gameover screen or obscured other images




I wanted to start my Kickstarter campaign this week, but I'm still making a few improvements to the site, so everything is delayed a little. But I should be done with that soon.

I'm excited and hope everything goes as planned, even if it usually doesn't anyway :D

Since I've been working on the game for almost 8 years now, it's sometimes not that easy to stick with it.
But something like that always gives you the right motivation.

Undershadows Demo Update [8.6]

First of all, thank you again!
Everything is slowly coming together to form a picture,
but there are still many things that will be added as it is completed!
For now, here is a new update for the game Undershadows!

Fixes Bug & Crashes:

  • Fixes a bug after the second choice of transformation

  • Fixes a sound bug after visit the inside of the big tree

  • Fixes a crash after visit the forest of the shades

  • Fixed a bug after defeating omog

  • Fixed a bug before you reached the portal at the beginning

  • Fixed a sound bug in the caves




Add New:
  • The caves were expanded (snail party?)

  • Once the Book of Trees has been found, the Tree's Dungeon can now be explored

  • New death sequences

  • New enemies and adjustments




And many other small adjustments and changes that help improve the gaming experience!

That's it for today, I continue to work in the shadows and try to create the best gaming experience possible :)

Undershadows Demo Update 8.5

Undershadows Demo Update New improvements and fixes for the demo.

First of all, many thanks to the players who reported the bugs to me! Without you this wouldn't work :)

I will continue working on the demo until it is playable to the end. My main focus is first of all to fix all the game crashes that some of you are having. When I test the game on my PC, there are no more bugs, but apparently many can only be discovered through external testing. So keep sending me the error screens if you spot one, thank you very much!



New crash fixes:

  • Fixes a crash after the monster with the ball

  • Fixes a crash after the portal

  • Fixes a crash after the woodstore

  • Fixes a crash after visit of eddie

  • Fixes a bug where the screen stays black after evolution

  • Fixes a bug where the images didn't load

  • Fixes an error when calculating damage

  • Fixes an error after individual audio files could not be loaded

  • Fixes a bug after the player killed the first boss


Balances:

  • The lives of some enemies have been adjusted

  • The attack of some enemies habe been adjusted

  • The apple shadow is now faster in his attack

  • Omog should now take fewer clicks to die


New improvements:

  • A save point was added to Marry after the 2nd phase

  • Fast travel should now work without interruption and there is an esc button to exit back

  • The map should now update itself after surviving an area

  • The welcome screen scene has been removed

  • A skip button has been added for the intro (but it should be noted that you will then miss an important part of the story)

  • Some drawings have been revised and new ones added

  • There are some new death scenes

  • A new item, the shadow mushroom, has been added to the game



I hope the demo can now be played through without any problems and that you will only find minor bugs! But nothing that will completely crash the game!

Undershadows Demo Update [8.4]

This update fixes some bugs that made it impossible to play the game beyond the prologue, as well as some other improvements:

  • Should no longer crash in shadow transfer

  • Adds a function to skip the welcome text

  • Adds a function to skip the intro scene

  • Adds a function to insert codes into the shadoole search bar (example: "portal") the player can skip the entire beginning and get to the way to the portal room immediately.

  • Adds half an hour of additional gameplay

  • Adds an additional boss

  • General balance changes and fixes

Some comments:

The main problem I have at the moment is actually testing. I've noticed that when I test this on my own computer, there are almost no bugs at all, which seem to occur with other players. Every time the game crash, an error message is displayed after you click on the X in the right top corner. I would be really happy if you could send me a screenshot of it or write to me! Thank you!



Up next:

  • General balance changes between individual fights

  • Some improvements in the first part of the game, it's intentional that it looks bad at the beginning and gets better as you reach the portal (but I'm still not entirely happy with some of the animations)

  • The system requirements are updated again. When I wanted to test it on my notebook, I realized that 2GB of RAM is probably not enough xD if you have a loading circuit between the scenes or if everything is animated slowly, your setup is too bad...



I hope that with this update you can at least make it past the portal xD that's where the game and all the work I put into it is actually just beginning... I'm sorry if it still crashes. I'll work on it until it works, I promise!
