The year is 2087...

The shadow of a figure crawls undetected through the wiry grass under cover of night. A post-volcanic sky rumbles overhead like the chest of a smoker that was once more easy-going. Following the tracks set by the previous operative less than eighteen hours ago is Alan Wolfe, The Second Saboteur.

Synopsis
The Second Saboteur is a tribute to the Metal Gear game franchise with an original story and an array of different game mechanics. These can be broken down into three main sections; primarily:

Action - The sneaking activities many associate with Metal Gear are here with enemies that react to vision and sound. Once spotted you will be chased and fired upon unless you find a point of refuge in time. The game features a working radar system, true to the original Metal Gear games. Battles are fought in multiple ways, ranging from turn-based combat to a reaction-based shoot-to-kill and coordinaton based beat-em-up system.

Puzzle - Inspired by Bioshock and indie game IJI there are multiple paths the player can take based on their hacking and programming skills. As the player progresses through levels there are eventualities that can only be reached with the correct timing and the right items within inventory. Several minigames represent the union between the saboteur and computer espionage.

Role-Playing - Inspired by the Fallout series, level up your character in ways that are more useful than just increasing attack strength. Progression in character skill enables you to solve puzzles faster and evade enemies more effectively. The manufacture of booby traps and explosives can be learnt from exploration and encounter with the enemy. If you sneak through the level without being seen your statistics change and enemies are more complacent wheras if you are spotted frequenty they are more erratic and on their guard.

Plot
A third-person narrative follows the adventures of Wolfe as he infiltrates an isolated base with the purpose of finding out what happened to his predecessor who was sent in the day before. In an age where robotic soldiers have become prevalent the role of a trained Saboteur has become more important in staying ahead of the enemy in the race to design the perfect weapon.
