...If so, I do not appreciate it that much. Well, depends on the context, but if this game crosses Yaoi Territory, I'm avoiding it like the plague.

I doubt it's hentai though. But something for the girls as well. Though it does use RTP, I don't except it be good.

I'm not gay or anything, I don't find it offensive.

Definitely not the FIRST game with gay characters, but originality points because everything else in the game is very typical. It looks like a "my RTP adventure" with gay characters. And people said in the forums that dialog is well written.

No, that is not how I meant it either. I don't take offense at that sort of thing, but- Prior Experiences does make me very cautious when it comes to certain elements in video games and anime for that matter.

Well, as long as it is not so terrible that it overbears the story, it should be fine. Although, RTP is never a good sign.

EDIT: I just read that as well. Well, if it is well written enough I'll check it out.

Well, in my dreamwalker game, supposedly two characters are gonna turn into lesbians or something, not sure if I was going to down that path anyway.

Well it's a rather unseen twist in RPGs so go ahead. Not that the twist "the hero falls in love with the heroine later" sounds so interesting anymore.

I've thought several times about making the lead protagonist of my games gay, haven't done it though because I think it might drive some people away thinking it's gonna be yaoi or porn, even though that's not my intention at all. Maybe now people could play something with a gay protagonist without fearing that the pink unicorn of rainbow magic will take over the world and their lives.

I remember in 1999 someone made a RPG maker game about his life... in midieval times with his struggling over being gay and an outcast. Game played terribly, but everyone on the Don Migel forum loved it because of how real it was. The maker disappeared quickly after posting the game.

I don't even want to bother giving my game's characters sexualities, or adding romance to the game for anyways. Most likely, the lines I'd write would be way too corny, so, meh. Prepare to see asexual assholes.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

There are games with effeminate chars, but that's not the same as then being gay, I haven't played Enchanted arms, but apart from him being a flaming feminine queen, is he really gay? I mean do they really touch the subject?
If he IS indeed gay and not just effeminate, then he's one of teh very very few gay chars in videogames.
