TRYING TO UNDERSTAND THE STATUS EFFECTS IN RM2K3

Alright, so status conditions have been bothering the hell out of me in 2k3. I'm not sure whether I'm just not correctly understanding how they work or whether they're just broken.
I make a status condition that I want to abate after three turns. I set the percentage that it "might recover each turn" to zero because I don't want it to abate beforehand. Then I enter a battle, and the status condition never goes away! I tried changing the "might recover each turn" percentage to 1% instead, thinking it was some weird 2k3 thing, and it still doesn't go away. I don't get it.
Is the "Alway abates after such and such turns" broken or is there something I'm missing?

The % of it going away is after X number of turns. You want it to go away 100% of the time after 3 turns
Oh God, I'm such an idiot...I thought it meant the "chance" it would recover each turn, before the 3 turn has been reached. The way they phrased it was strange.
Thanks GRS, you've always got my back.

I had the same problem, in this instance, it is translation issues that caused the problem not a bug within the engine itself. However, do note that translation also mixed up intelligence and defense for status conditions. So if you want a condition to halve or double defense, make it do it for INTELLIGENCE. and vice versa. I know, weird.
