STRANGE 2K3 ERROR

Hey guys,

So I'm getting this really strange error when I use an ability with certain party members in battle. It looks like this:



I have absolutely no idea what could be causing it. If anyone has seen this error before or has any ideas, I'd be really grateful.

I'm unfamiliar with that...particular version of 2K3, but usually that kind of error pops up when you either start transporting stuff across different projects or try to play save files after you've done something drastic to the database (like rearrange the hero list and resize the array). I remember when I had that error, it would happen whenever a particular new character I added tried to use a regular physical attack. My first inclination would be to go through your items and animations and make sure each hero has something defined for the stuff you're using in a typical battle.

Copypasta. The only possible solution I came across google, and found this at rpg-palace.

hmm i got this from searching

"A box shows up and says "??? CBAData ??????"."
"I think this means they're missing a battle char set or battle animation. Not sure. Missing something though."

Go through each spell/weapon in the database and ensure that each hero has an casting animation set for it. See if that helps.
