Closei am the player online you see with hsien-ko and you think "well this should be a breeze" after running around in the air for 30 seconds you cripple my hsien-ko with your insane air combos. felicia enters the fight and just runs around the screen until you ultimately drop me with your 3 chained super.
and then, i appear with sentinel, you're scared...but just a little because you hear the rumors...and then the sentinel spamming begins.
has anyone played this game yet? it's kind of disappointing, because i was a big fan of marvel vs capcom 2 and the exceptionally fun characters and pixel work, but it's a pretty fun game to pick up and play online.

Yes. I use Hsien-Ko. Are you implying that Hsien-Ko sucks? Cause she don't.
Along with her I main Zero and sometimes Akuma. X-23 is the shit, as well.

MVC3 is very much like MVC2 - broken balance, but fun and frantic gameplay nevertheless. I've played some of the game and I love it. Though, I wish some of my favorite Capcom/Marvel characters were part of the roster, such as Ghost Rider, Black Panther, Daredevil, Nobunaga from Onimusha, and Jon Talbain, but whatever.
I mainly use Dante, Wolverine, and Viewtiful Joe, with some Arthur, Akuma, and Iron Man.

I played for the first time yesterday. My team is the human keg(modok), freddie(haggar), and hulk. I was pulling off some insane combos and winning against people that actually play these types of games with my epic spam.
I just played this at a friend's today. I used my classic team of Spider man, Iron man and Hulk until I came across Sentinel online. I then practiced with Arthur in training mode to get him down. Next Sentinel player did the exact same thing. Played crappily with his first two characters then x-factored as Sentinel killing off Spider man and Iron man. BUT I had Arthur as my starting character and right away used his magic armor hyper and then swapped him out. By the time Sentinel killed my other two characters his X-factor was used up. Arthur came into play decked out with 4 hyper bars. And Sentinel met X-factored, magic armor, goddess bracelet spam.

I hear that Dante is really cheap. Is that true? And how does mvc3 compare to the original mvc(that's the only one I've played.)

Game came out in the UK today, been playing it most of the morning. Currently deciding if I'm going to stick with my MVC2 team of Spidey, Iron Man and Wolverine (original, I know), or start maining a combo of Phoenix, X-23 and Storm. Kinda disappointed in Zero BTW, gotta say.

I've been practicing mostly as Wesker and Deadpool, they're amusing to use.
I find that Arther is more cheap than Dante, he is the Megaman of MvsC3.

The only disappointing thing about Zero is his low health and somewhat low damage output. He's got some pretty good dodging and mind-game capabilities; couple that together with his speed and you potentially can keep your opponent at bay for a while.
Zero is the only permanent member of my team, the other two switch between Wesker, Akuma, X-23, and Hsien Ko.

dormammu fwd+heavy spam is way more broken than anything sentinel can do as far as i'm concerned (knockback like a motherfucker)
ryu/dante/dogwhip is my favorite team so far
(well, i like akuma more than ryu, but akuma is kinda booshit so i try not to use him much)

You do realize that Zero has the highest damage potential of any character in the game? He is the best rush-down character, but is balanced out by having low life.
Dante isn't really cheap, he's just the easiest character to play as.

I can certainly believe that. I guess I just don't know him well enough yet because it felt like he didn't do too much, but now that I stop to think about it, I think I can take out over half a character's health with single combo...maybe two. Still, I can believe that.

Heya, Im thinking about getting this game, is it worth the money? How hard is it to get into it, how hard are the controls? Also can a newbie player get into the online play after some training(my only figthing experience is a bit if SF4 and a LOT of Little Fighter 2 and mods for it)?
