HOW TO INSTALL?

Downloaded a couple of games, but I have no idea how to install them. What do I do with the .zip files? I tried extracting them to a folder, but there are files with the same name, so I cannot keep all of them.
The games are Bloodsphere and Demon Legacy, if that helps.
I also have RPG Maker 2003 installed.

If your getting a message saying that it's all duplicate files then it kinda sounds like you already have it extracted and your trying to extract again. Extract to a different folder or just see if it's already there. You also might be extracting to a folder that contains another game, again try extracting to a different folder.
To install a game there are 2 ways and it depends on how the creator of the game packaged the download.
Usually you want to look for the executable file (.exe). If it's called setup.exe or something similar, than it's most likely an installer and you just launch it. Installers usually place an icon on your desktop to run the game.
If it's just a folder with the game files, there would be over a dozen folders like chipset/charset/picture.. (are VXP games like this? i dont know) and there will be a file called RPG_RT.exe. Run that and it should start the game.

The folder I was extracting to was empty. And when I tried to open the RPG_RT.exe file, the game seem to launch; I get a black screen and the resolution change. But it crashes to desktop after only a second and gives me the messagebox: "The file Demonlegacysystem cannot be opened". I can confirm that the file is located in the same folder as the RPG_RT.exe file.
As the for the zip file itself, it is just a single huge collection of all the files. No folders whatsoever.
This doesn't look like an RTP error, but it could be one. Check to see if you have the Run Time Package installed. It may be that your computer is to old to run the program.

Can you possibly provide a link to the ZIP file in question? Also, what program are you using to extract the ZIP file?

It's not supposed to be in the same folder as rpg_rt.exe. That's your problem. It's supposed to be in a folder called system.
Re-download it. Also, what King Arthur said is important as well. What OS are you running?

I'm running XP Home. I'm using WinZip, and it opens the .zip file just fine. But since there's no readme file in it I do not know where I'm supposed to put things.
Here's the download: http://rpgmaker.net/games/703/
I just hit the big Download Now button and saved to desktop.
If anything is too old it's the OS itself.
The OS isn't a problem, I was just curious. I run games on Windows 2000.
I use Winrar but Winzip will do the same thing. Just extract the .rar and it should make a folder called Demon Legacy. It looks like this.
I don't really know how else to help except to show you this. It's pretty simple, just extract and go into the folder and launch the rpg_rt.exe.
