Well I've been looking for a game I rented from a blockbuster a very long time ago. I can't remember the name of it only that it involved a young Indian (or tribal-like) from a small village in the middle of a forest. Something happens and he then travels into the local forest to accomplish the task(don't remember the plot either heh)

I know the game play involved your character capturing bug like monsters in the beginning to fight for him. It seems a little like poke'mon but.... think tribal.

I'm pretty sure it was for the PS1 console. So does anyone remember a game similar to my vague description? :D

It was a pretty bad game. It has a sequel, but I can't speak for its quality.

That's the one. I kinda liked it. I never played the second one either, though I heard it was an upgrade in every way.

I remember they marketed it almost like it was pokemon - but i never got that same feeling and quickly stopped playing it. Also, they make a point of saying that the chick you "marry" in the beginning get permanent scars over her body whenever you bring her monsters to purify for your use.
