PUTTING OLDER/CLASSIC GAMES ON THE SITE?

CloseI was just wondering if I'm able to upload an older game from way back with a Game Page that I myself didn't make and have the authors name in it's place.. Or anyone else for that matter as I feel games like Legion Saga(I know their not the best but people used to love that series and some still remember that Kamau guys influence back then) for example. Until My Finest Hour by Bloodrose, etc.
Because I already see games like A Blurred Line, Nigsek, etc up here.

I wouldn't mind seeing devil hunter seeker of power added to the database one of the first ever RM games i played.

I remember when the site just started out we tried to find the original developers to come by and upload their work. We did manage to get a handful and that's why we see A Blurred Line and NigSek.
However, the informal policy was that if a game developer wants their work on RMN, they would have to create an account and upload it. From that stance, the first step is to contact the original developer and pressure them to make a gameprofile.
But, like I said, it is an informal policy. I'm sure WIP has the ability to add gameprofiles on someone's behalf but I imagine that would only happen if 1) the game is worthy and 2) all other avenues had been exhausted.

Due to the way the site is built, by uploading a game it is considered yours. I am also a data accuracy nazi so the original person would have to put it on this site.
That can be a real bother for older games, but I feel it works better for moving forward. Older games that are not on the site are a minority compared to recent games, so it makes sense to cater to them.
