THE ART OF EPHIAM

I have not done one of these in quite a while, and because I am in the mood to draw these days... well, I have decided to make another topic dedicated to my "art"! I will not be producing these in quick succession, though, as my work station is a tad...uncomfortable. My back and neck and killing me after having done this, as the only real place I can draw in on my laptop's keyboard. =/

Oh yes, and this piece is done with a brush. I wanted to be experimental, and thought it was quite fun! I like it more than a pen, but I was a tad sloppy and my lineweights are all over the place in some areas. Also, I have gotten a new printer and have only now begun to actually scan things using it. Ugh. It is a real hassle. and I still have not gotten used to it just yet. =/

Unlike the above, this picture was made after looking at a reference and lightly sketching her figure before inking it. I'm actually starting to really enjoy looking at something and drawing it, unlike in the past where I used to dread the thought.

This turned out fairly well, although her right hand (our left) is screwed up. I tried my best with it, though. Her lips were also a problem, because they always turned out as these bulbous blobs. I managed to get them under control in the end, though. At least to a point where it was decent, anyway.

fix the lips and i'll give her a new wand ;D ;D ;D ;D

Loving the pics Ephiam. Good Job.
wow you've gotten much better over the years.
Thank you for all of the kind comments, everyone! I am trying to do a few drawings every day, so I hope that I will be able to update somewhat regularly. However, my uncomfortable work area is starting to take effect. =/

Ah. And here is my latest piece. This one took me forever to complete, and now my neck hurts from looking down so much. I am glad to have finally completed it. If you do not know who the character is, then allow me to tell you: It is Nnoitra Jiruuga,a character from Bleach.

my only comment on the bleach one is to tighten that six pack up some- abdominal muscles are a bit more connected than you might think. wikipedia pages can be very helpful for checking anatomical stuff and getting references for stuff like that- they usually have some pretty sweet scientific/medical diagrams relating to various body parts.
the shading on those arms is intense.
Yeah, I really screwed up his abs. I knew that they were going to come out "odd" looking once I had finished the left part of the body (or his right).

I am also glad that the shading makes that one open hand look more three dimensional. That had was a tad too flat when I just had a sketch done of it, so I don't like that part, either (and the fingers look odd to me).
