A SOMEWHAT-NOOBY QUESTION.

I've noticed that everyone has a "makerscore" and that I myself currently have 30, earned for submitting one review. I submitted another today, which was accepted, and my Submissions page states it has earned me an additional 30 makerscore. On the forums/everywhere else, I still have 30. Is there some special way this updates? Also, what purpose does/will makerscore serve?
It's a pretty stupid question, I realize. I should probably just accept that things are the way they are for a higher, mightier reason than I could comprehend, but I'm crazy and analytical and I like to know these things. :)

Maker score basically shows how much you've contributed to the site. It affects how much locker space you have as well.
I see sixty, not thirty. Not sure when it 'updates'.
