A LITTLE SUGGESTION HERE: ADDING SOURCE TO RMN

So as the title says, I think it'd be great if the Source engine would be added to RMN. Hosting mods in game pages and maps, textures and models in resources. Though the number of resources and games would be much less than other engines as it takes more effort to develop things than say, 2k3, it'd be nice to see some more variety in RMN than RPG, RPG, RPG, Puzzle game, RPG, Adventure game.
Anyways, that's my little request. Please consider it.

Denied. Source is not a program that is geared toward this site. If you notice, the engines in the database are not in the same design goal as Source.
I think i see where you're coming from. You want engines designed for making games from scratch, not modding existing ones?

Yeah. Sorry I couldn't really describe it better.

That variety is actually there to an extent, it's just that there aren't any genre categories for some.

Well there is that, but the source engine is also more geared around FPS. This site is RPGmaker.net, and although I'm sure the community would welcome a source engine game, that doesn't mean the site should support it.

This site is RPGmaker.net

The site doesn't just support RPGs, though.
Yeah, I guess I implied that in my post, didn't I?

Anyways, most of the games here are RPG's, and the ones that aren't are still somewhat close to the genre.

As a matter of fact, I wonder what we have around here that is... different...
Action Game Maker. Most of the games that are RPGs here is because that's what people choose to submit, not because of the will of the site itself.
Myersguy, you might try looking at the games under the custom engine catagory. ;)
come on WIP lets take our platformers and skedaddle

Irk, wrong topic
I think we could probably use Roguelike as a genre.
Roguelike is considered an RPG subgenre.

Yeah I agree, F-G. I'll get to that.
Well at lest something was accomplished in this here thread, even if it wasn't my suggestion :D
A more general Shooter genre would be appropriate than first-person shooter. Upon further research, Roguelike is a sub-subgenre (of the more generic Dungeon Crawl subgenre)

I'd expand the list to include Dungeon Crawl RPG and Shooter, and leave it at that. We have a lot of the based covered already.
genres are so ridiculous honestly.
