Oooooooh this is tricky because technically some of these were released in diff years. MUTALO (my game (edit: that i made with narcodis)) was released on itch.io in May 2025 and Beloved Rapture was released in Oct 2024 but we're only just putting them here now because the site's back up *sweats*
Might have to sort by date completed... hopefully not too much of a chore. Although there might be complications even then *single tear*

Commercial games can't be nominated (unsure if this is a thing that is being looked at, or even considered), and I didn't double-check to see if "The kentona Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Commercial Excellence" was on the list this year. That said, the other gamepages currently listed do have the nominate button enabled, and if I want to be frank, I'm totally okay with allowing games made during the Fall (ie: when the site was down) to make up for it?
Would adding an alternate category for those games make sense? Just so we give each game a fair chance?
I think adding a separate category for 2024 and 2025 games is a good idea to make it fair for all contenders.
Yeah call em the Revivies or the Revived or something, games that couldn't get Misaos before because the site was down when they released; I think they still deserve a shot at rewards personally :D Giving them their own category sounds fun!
Someone nominate FLIGHT so I can finally have the bragging right of having one of my games in this, please? :3
It released in 2024 I think? I forget.
Edit: Just checked, yeah it was 2024.

my attempt to run the 2025 Misaos ended up only garnering four nominations at most, with not nearly enough to run the thing. not to mention I'm pretty sure it also got overshadowed by the official rpg maker awards too.

here's the spreadsheet with those nominations for reference. hopefully it can be of use.

Getting games made during 2024, but before the Fall, to be nominated again this year might be trickier than games made after the Fall. By all accounts, Liberty closed the 2024 nomination period, and opened the 2026 nomination period. Which, yeah, is a bit of a feelbad, because in 2024, RMN barely lasted the first quarter before the Fall. ;_;
Keep in mind that we allow games made in different years in even the old Misaos. Someone may have released their game on tumblr 2 years before but only found RMN that year and added their gamepage then. That's 100% fine and normal. Like, we DO try to ensure they're games made during that year but realistically if someone throws up an old game that they've had sitting on their HD that they never released on RMN to now, but had shared on, say, RMW or the like before, it will still count and we can't really weed them out since the way Misaos are coded are based solely on RMN's date counting.
Also keep in mind that if a game is started in one year it can be nominated again the next year if a big enough update has been applied that year (say a demo vs full release or remake).
All that to say that we'll allow it since site fell down the stairs and broke it's old-lady knees.
We DO allow for commercial games in it's own category (the Kentona award) but not in the other categories. We wanted to work on having a way to account for a game changing to that status during the year, but site died etc
Since we can't (yet) account for it, just make a separate note of commercial games and we'll pull together a vote of some sort for that category.

Interesting to note that GGG is now doing official Misaos starting this year (well, in all but the name), which was announced before RMN came back online. It'll be fun to compare the awards (but Misaos are Forever).
author=Sgt MLmao, that should be amusing... if quite pitiful-- to watch!

I just realized that due to how libby worded it all of my games would be legitimate entries for the 2024 misaos- all three of them. Even though one officially released in 2017 and the other got a content update in 2024 and only one was actually released in 2024- I hadn't yet posted them here until I returned in 2024.
Loopholes, baybee~!
But if you wanna keep MISAOs legitimate just nominate FLIGHT if you're gonna nominate any one of them, as it did actually release in 2024.

I think it would have been fun if they didn't just flatten it to a single "Best RPG Maker game" award for the past few years *sweats* (and Look Outside wasn't even nominated...) Reminds me of how cool it is to have tons of fun little awards for our little Misaos. <3
