FAVORITE VERSION OF RPG MAKER?

Hey guys! There's 6 major versions of RPG Maker that are widely used (2k, 2k3, XP, VX Ace, MV and MZ) and they all have advantages and disadvantages. Personally I like 2k for smaller projects as I love the simple Dragon Quest style battle system and assets aren't hard to make given the small size. There's also no scripting so it's hard for scope creep to take hold, that said, MZ is the best for bigger games IMO just due to the sheer amount of features and scripting allowing for a lot more flexibility. I was wondering what versions of the engine you prefer for your projects and why?
2000 and 2003 because they were easier to pick up. XP was just damn ugly. It felt...really bad. Even if there was scripting, the graphics were just awful. But why was the music 100% better?? Why that, with XP. That didn't make much sense. 2000 and 2003 aesthetically felt pretty solid and aged pretty well not like 95 or the playstation RPG Maker...oh god. Halp. VX Ace up felt more professional. I still like 2000 and 2003 though. VX ace's music is slightly better and 2000's music wasn't very good. :P 2003 got a bit better with music, VX up got too techno. I feel like 2000 and 2003 you can put a decent amount of work in to make something good, and then when it started to 'get better', you still have to do more to keep up with the tenacity of other people's games and stuff like that. Idk.
After using MZ for awhile I could never go back to any other RM engine.
I preferred RMXP because it was my first, but I became accustomed to RMMZ to honor the memory of someone close to me who had suggested I make my game with it instead.
I'd love to be able to retire RPGmaker 2003, but so far there just hasn't been anything up to my standards.

Probably going to switch over to Godot, at some point.

MV, by far. Best RTP, best character generator, and without all the bull of the newer and fancier MZ. I'm probably going to switch over to unity/RM unite in the near future, but for now I'm sticking with MV.

Edit: Well, this post aged poorly. RIP unity. Guess I'm sticking with MV for a bit longer then.
RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 are the best ! I love their retro style, the large collection of games made using them and the ability to run the games in Linux thanks to EsayRPG.
What about RPG Maker 95? I liked it back in the day. Before rm2k and rm2k3. it was easy and the graphics was easy to change. I made games but my old computer is gone.

it was back when i was 14 in the 9th grade. And the RPGs were about Krystal Nauta my first love. She is a girl i meet in class. We are both same race Chamorro, same age same eye level.

From the same (Oceania) island call Guahan. San Guiya Hao. Which mean I Love You. Guahu Zuahu Hagu. Which mean I like you. Bonita Chamorrita. Which mean Beautiful Chamorro girl.

I would like to make my games in both MZ and 95.
I prefer using the MZ, overall the most optimized and it has good functions.
The only downside is there aren't many great plugin/creators anymore. (The best were on MV)
I miss people like Victor Sant or SRDude.

I started with VX Ace, and haven't felt compelled to upgrade to one of the newer versions yet.

That being said, I don't really use RPG Maker any more, as I have moved onto the greener pastures of Pixel Game Maker MV and Ren'Py.

I started with VX Ace and will probably die with VX Ace, I'm too accustomed to it. For what I want to do most of the time, it covers all of my bases pretty well.
MZ. Pretty much the same as MV but after having the move-route preview function, I have no real desire to go back to the previous versions. I own the previous ones, so I'd just make one with the old graphics if I wanted one which looks the part.
