I typically listen to music while I work on RPG Maker. Just curious what type of music you tend to listen to while you work on your projects?
Me... I tend to listen to more alternative rock/pop punk music: Icon For Hire, Pvris, Panic at the Disco, The Cab and Marianas Trench are some of my favorites.

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

Mostly I listen to podcasts or videos while doing work that doesn't require much reading, like mapping or design, because I like having something occupy the word part of my brainmeats.
If I'm writing or doing something that requires careful concentration on words, I switch to instrumental music. The selection depends on things like mood and style-- for example, I have a playlist of some Castlevania music for my Castlevania-inspired WIP-- but I end up going back to the Boards of Canada well a WHOLE lot. (Listening to them right now for some non-gam writing, as a matter of fact!)
I also like soundtracks; American Beauty and Bram Stoker's Dracula have both been pretty great for me to work to.

To be fair, I listen to music relevant to whatever part of the same I'm working on, via the sound test on my 'Maker. >_>
Otherwise, I tend to listen that I feel fits the mood, not unlike the jams I listen to when writing. I know for a fact I keep listening to a MIDI of "Circle of Life" when databasing, as well...

Good point. I only listen to music when I'm designing maps or making fixes after I did a Playtest. If I'm writing or focused on scripting out a scene... I don't listen to anything. I enjoy the silence for that.
But if I'm working on a map or just making easy fixes... I'm rockin' out to some Fall Out Boy or Panic ;-)
