the wall is supposed to be there and there isn't supposed to an entrance
I don't quite understand what u need help with?
Sorry! I would like criticism on my town map. There is supposed to be a wall with no entrance and a path indicating there is a sort of road. They think they are being protected by something antagonist (supposedly friend tells them) and has no reason to disbelieve they should leave the place, but they are actually being trapped there.

This is my first map and my first game so please don't be too harsh with criticizing my map, I know it's not the best and might even be plain horrible which is why I came to ask for pointers.

Is anything sticking out that doesn't belong?
Should I add a little more of something?
Should I put buildings closer together?
What tips would you give me to make it look better?

There are supposed to be a certain amount of buildings (the buildings on the map) and a town garden and water source. So I wish to not remove that.

While its not bad for a first map, there are a lot of areas that could use improvement. First, look at the houses themselves. Several of them are done incorrectly. Let's take a closer look at some of them.

Something about the roof looks really off on these three houses. Here, I'll replicate what they look like, with only the offending elements.

See the red area I circled? You're using these tiles incorrectly. They are specifically for if you want to expand the house out in a certain direction, like this:

That aside, while the overall layout of the town isn't too bad, there's a lot of empty space. I've marked it all in red so you can see how it stands out:

Think about the player actually having to cover that distance over and over, with nothing there. Unless there are going to be wall-to-wall NPCs there, its gonna be pretty boring for them. I'd suggest either making the map smaller and moving those norther houses down, or adding in more detail.

Also, in the middle of the town with that big empty space. Wouldn't there be a road leading to the outside, even if the exit has disappeared?

Also, the grass and the poison swamp on the bottom left hand slice of the map are awfully square-looking. Elements like grass, lakes, and such are usually a bit more organic, and take more curved or circular shapes.

That aside, you're making good progress! Like I said, not bad for your first map, at all! ^_^ Keep it up!

It's very big. There's a lot of unused space in the middle and the yards.
Towns don't naturally put houses this far away from each other.
Towns build up around natural water sources. The houses themselves follow straight paths (for the most part) and build up over time along roads of convenience. Try to picture the road into/out of town (where it was - before it got sealed, a road surely existed that led into/out of the place yes?) There were likely houses lining that road. Then something convenient popped up and a road was sent there, which then got lined with houses. That's usually the way things work in towns.

So try to keep that in mind when making a town.

A town with a poison swamp would make the well of water the main feature - it would be in a place that was easily accessible to all (because houses would have been built with convenience in mind, so they'd surround the well, cutting down on the amount of walking with buckets that would need to be done). Having it way off to the left doesn't really make much sense. If the swamp is meant to be water, however, you should change the tile used for it and remove the well - when there's water easily found people don't build wells because, well (heh) it's already there without having to bore into the earth for a vein.

Honestly, there's too much space in the town. I get that you want to give it a feeling of enough space that they won't feel trapped, but you can do that without having to resort to tons of space with clutter tiles to make it seem less empty. More often than not, if you're struggling to fill a place up (or find yourself just dumping decoration tiles around to make it feel less empty) then you've got too much space.

They told me I was mad when I said I was going to create a spidertable. Who’s laughing now!!!

Why did they bother protecting the swamp?
