SCRIPT DATABASE?

So, a LOT of websites (RRR, RMVX) have a forum devoted to be a database of RM(V)X(P) scripts created/submitted by users. Since we don't really have an RMVX section up and running on the site (as Holbert pointed out recently) do any of the Powers That Be think that it would be a good idea to have this kind of thing on the forums?
This is more of a suggestion than a complaint, by the way, so yeah, discuss.

WIP and I (and probably others) have discussed this at length.
There is the possibility of a script resource section in RMN3.
I tend to think this is a good idea because it will help foster growth.
Edit: As a side note, please avoid making every topic you make in caps - it's not like you won't get a response.

Oh jeez, sorry....I have just really been loving me the caps lock lately. I literally did not even realize I had done that....God, I need an intervention or something.
This power that is, does not think having a forum for it is good.
It seems to me that there are kind of a lot of topics (I know I have made some of them) in the help forum that are really looking for this kind of thing.
Out of curiosity, why do you think it is not a good idea?

He said that a FORUM for it is a bad idea. A SECTION for it is probably a good idea.
SUGGESTION: Once the new site goes up and has a section for scripts, we should mine other sites for scripts and ask authors if we can host them.
I am inclined to agree with WIP because forums such as the one at RMXP.org get really hard to sort through. Scripts are organized by date of last post, and not by anything more logical (popularity, type of script etc).
brandon is right. There will not be forums for things that would be better suited for the main site. Not even as "well just for now..." solutions.
