Is there a way to make certain aspects of a chipset reflect, as if it was a mirror, without scripting? I just remembered that in Oneshot you could go into the bathroom and the mirror would show the reflection of the room/player as they walked past..

Make the tile with the mirror transparent save for a couple of little white diagonal lines showing the reflectivity of the surface. Make an event that has the same graphic as the hero and put it somewhere off-map. Make on hero touch events on every tile adjacent to the one just in front of the mirror, which place the duplicate event either one tile to the left, one tile to the right, or one tile above the mirror's position and turn on a switch. There will be a second page on the duplicate event, activated by the switch, which is set to parallel process and has a variable assignment/conditional branch to track the hero's position/location and moves the duplicate in the opposite direction if the hero moves.
