RPG MAKER 95 AND BYOND

What if one wants to submit an RPG Maker 95 game? Maybe there should be options for some other game makers when submitting a game.

And it'd be nice for BYOND game creators to set up a page for their BYOND game here, too.

And yes, the reason I bring this up is because I have games made for both of those.
I've never submitted a game but now I saw that the makerlist was very small indeed. Wouldn't it make sense to at least have an "other" option?

EDIT: (Though I think I know the answer to this one: "Fixed in RMN3")
Actually WIP hates the idea of an "Other" category. I have brought it up a few times.

We'll see what the grand master says about this...

"Other" is no good, because it doesn't tell you what it is!
It's better than picking a maker the game isn't made in though. (and there's "other" in genre, which is something that is probably a bit more important to the "consumer" than what maker the game was made in)

I am an absolute data purity nazi. I don't like anything miscategorized. In my mind, neither of those situations should exist.
You should probably categorize by something more finite then instead. So in maker you could have categories like "Makers created years 1990-95" or something.

I know what would also be good. Other - Specify: and then manually see if it's real. And if it's left empty be angry and say "specify you piece of shit".
Data purity and real life cannot co-exist.

Shitty data is a fact of all database systems.

Good thing this is all make believe!
Getting a little esoteric here aren't we?
I've never heard of BYOND and very little to like no one uses RM95 anymore...it was really never that popular when I got into RM2000 back in 2002. So I would be surprised to even have the need for a RM95 list.

But maybe if you wanna submit it, you should make a thread. That's always the best thing.

Lol = WIP the grand master :P

Suggestion!

I think in the future, people can select "other" but have a write-in box for what program they used.
There's actually a lot of BYOND games. Right now as I post this, 375 of them are being played. Currently being played BYOND games.

BYOND lets you make little online chatting games that can be programmed to have RPG, tactics, and other elements. Screenshots of my main BYOND game as an example.

And yeah, RPG Maker 95 is way less active, well until Stifu made a RPG Maker 95 site and included a patch that let RPG Maker 95 work with Windows XP and Windows Vista, but it's still not very active so I can understand that.

But yeah, a lot of BYOND game creators try making little sites for their games and ask for people to make sites for their game and etc, so I could see this site being useful to some BYOND people.

stuff =3
I have known of BYOND before!
Idk though if we are especially interested in putting a ton of MMORPG-ish games on the site. (I know I'm not.)

No way. That totally ruins the setup for RMN3.

Howzabout people request new categories in the Site Feedback forum and the staff decides whether or not to include them in the droplist?
