Hey there.
I'm looking for an addition to my super small team who is aiming to create a commercial retro rpg.

We are looking for a capable and invested partner, who is willing to work on the games engine with a stake in any money the game can generate. We can't offer any hourly compensation at this time, but are looking for a coder to invest in the idea and become one of the co-owners of this project.

I'm done with rpg maker and am trying to elevate from hobby to business.
I'm thinking Unity 2d would be good, but am open to negotiation.

I am the designer/artist and am already going to town on assets and maps.

We have an experienced composer who I worked with on my Eagleland project.

Anywhere enough with the sales pitch, here's the game.

The game aims to be a throwback snes rpg with platforming, puzzle and adventure elements to slice up the traditional jrpg formula.

If you think you have the drive and ability to help us with our dream, contact me pls.

Let's make a game.
whomever gets in this I can assure you're in for quite a deal because
this man is the talent
Hey dude, some things:

1. Present your game better. You have the opposite problem of most people advertising where you actually have something good, but you sound like you don't care.

2. Unity was primarily made for 3D games. Unless you're planning to segue into 3D later, probably not your best choice. As well, RPG maker is just a game engine. Nobody is going to look at your game, and say "RPG maker? Ew, no way." Use what works, and what'll save you the most time and effort, because guaranteed that will be your limiting factor.

3. Consider the scope and scale. Programming for a jrpg from scratch is vastly challenging as it is. Do you really need those extra bells and whistles? How many successful jrpg's out there do you know of that has all those things you mentioned?

4. Hit up the something awful forums if you haven't already. Their userbase is absolutely massive and full of nerdy types, and your game would assuredly appeal to their tastes and sense of humour. You'll have much better luck finding someone to help you there.

Good luck man.
Hi,

How much of programmer you need? I'm not having much time for side projects, I'm not a game programmer but I work with Telco Systems that uses Cobol, Java, C and know PHP and other stuff but I just start to see the games platforms like Unity but I don't know much about how it works inside.
