NO SIDEBAR?

I've noticed that the content bar on the right side of the screen that I assume should be there, well, isn't, most of the time for me. Is it a browser thing? I use Google Chrome at home and sometimes IE or Firefox at work, but I never see it with Chrome, and occasionally with IE.
Check your address bar URL. If you're on the forums via http://rpgmaker.net/portal/community/ / the Community Portal then it's there. If you're on the forums via http://rpgmaker.net/forums/ / the forums link then it isn't.
Ah, I see it now.
That seems kinda, uh, unintuitive, though. Is there another way or a setting or something I can select?

When I implemented the Community Portal, I left the original /forum/ link and rendering intact, partially because I was worried I'd break something if I removed it, and partially because there was some who hated that I was "cluttering" up the forums (which I totally did by adding that sidebar, but I think it was a good thing).
I am still worried I'd break something somewhere if I removed it! If only people's bookmarks.
Do you think that I should get rid of the standalone /forums/ completely, and replace it with the community portal outright?

I mean, maybe. Something.
I spent the better part of two years being almost totally unaware of a vital, extremely useful community access feature simply because I was utilizing a wrong link. I can imagine a lot of other people are in the same boat as well.
At least make the community portal the default setting, with the standalone forums being an option to revert back to at will in the User's Profile. If this takes time to do or is not possible, then yeah, I think make the portal the default.

I support making the plain /Forums (but not anything specific, like /Forums/topics/18019/) redirect to /Community and telling anybody who hates the clutter on the right to deal with it.
See that's the beauty of the element blocker add on to adblock, if you don't like an element on a webpage, you can simply block it from sight. Though I personally have no issue with the 'clutter on the right'.
