I SUCK AT RPGS

Hi. So I am on an rpg community with rpg experts and others of the sort, but there's one simple truth about me: I sick at rpgs. How many final fantasy games have I beaten? One. just on e. And I've played all of them, had a lot of time, but never beat them. The only one I've beaten is final fantasy 7... not surprising...

Bit despite all this, do I care? No, because there's another simple truth about me: I love tpgs, they are some of my favorite games ever, and I'm not gonna stop playing them

I'm more of a designer than an experiencer if you know what I mean.
well if you want to add another final fantasy game to your beaten collection go play Mystic Quest
Well RPGs are notoriously insanely long so it takes a lot to finish them. Most of my favourite RPGs I've never finished. Many of them I've restarted multiple times though.

I mean I've probably played through the first ten or so hours of Fallout at least ten times.
Surprisingly, FF7 is one I haven't beaten (I only got as far as that part where you get that loli in the short-shorts with the sharpened tire-iron as a weapon). I didn't own a Playstation so I didn't play it, except for a week where a friend and I swapped his PS for my N64.

I did buy it on Steam a few months ago, but now I don't have time for videogames.
Same here: I've played FFs 6~10, but 10 is the only one that I actually beat. The only reason I've beaten some Tales games is because I co-oped them with my sister, who was pretty eager to see them through.

Hell, I'm generally too lazy to even finish games that are under an hour long. I'll get to the final level of something like Super Mario Bros, game over, then be all "well, that was fun" and not bother with it for a few years, at which point I'll have lost the ability to make it to the final levels...

Yeah, they are usually pretty long and overwhelming.

I don't blame you, even though I beat it, I still found it hard at times.

I am so confused by this xD.

Me and my sister play those kinds of games together and enjoy it just like you do, except I'm the one that's more persistent. I'm not that lazy though! xD

I believe kentona was talking about Yuffie. XD Who is awesome~

A series you might like are Suikoden. The first two have been released in the PS store and they're a treat. Great story, cool graphics and the second, third and fifth have tactics style battles at certain points.
Suikoden 1 and 2 are on PSX, Suikoden 3, 4 and 5 is on PS2. There's also Suikoden Tactics which is pretty good.

The games themselves are all pretty easy. It's part of the gameplay that allows you to choose from about 60-80 characters to take into battle with you (there's 108 to collect, with different endings depending on whether you got them all and other choices through the game).

So, yeah, also - Suikoden 1 and 2 PAL have just been released this month. They're in the store. Go get them anyone who wanted to play but had PAL consoles!

What did I do? I don't remember double-posting, and if I did, it was probably on accident.
Look up the page. Three posts in a row. That's multiple posting (double/triple/etc) and not allowed. Just remember in the future that you can edit your posts if you need to add more to them.

That's not a triple post. Those are responses to three different people.

As far as this site is concerned, it's a triple post.

Any post made by the same person in a row is not allowed except in certain particular cases (mostly inside the Welp forum or if you've asked for help in a topic and there's been no response after a few days). It shits up the forums and there's no need for it, especially when you can edit your own posts and quote multiple times in a post. Please remember not to do this in the future.

I'm sorry. It's more efficient to respond to different people in different posts. I've never seen this not being allowed on any forum ever, but I'll abide by it.
That's fine. As long as you remember it's all good. ^.^)b

RMN is a little different in rules and such when it comes to other gaming forums, so it can be a bit odd when you first join.

No it's not. Efficient isn't the word your looking for.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

I didn't used to think it was possible to be bad at RPGs. I mean you can be impatient with RPGs, but that's about it, right? If you know the right choices it's just a matter of picking them from a menu, and if you don't know the right choices you can either test what each one does or just kill goblins until you're so strong that your choices don't matter any more.

Then I watched other people play RPGs. Oh my god. How are people so bad at RPGs.

I know for a fact that RPG Maker Web does not allow this either, and I know that on quite a few other forums they discourage it as well. I actually think it's a forum-wide courtesy rule that you shouldn't double post.

When you double post you end clotting up site features that normally are there to help users acknowledge of new posts, and also end up burying actually relevant posts (because a double post isn't relevant, only the first one)

It's rather simple, really. If there's only a limited amount of posts in the "latest posts section", and only one post ever shows in the "last post" section of every subforum, you don't want to clot that up with double posts.
Getting back to the topic:
I know how you feel. I'm too lazy to play those 50 or even more hour long RPGs. I don't have much time to play in general. If I'm lucky I can play one or two hours on workdays. But usually I only get to play at night on weekends. I still love RPGs but I only got into the RPG Maker community because of all the non RPG games.
Just starting playing FF7 and I think I'll be done around 2069. Nuff said
