[RM2K3] YET ANOTHER ISSUE WITH CHIPSETS...

So, I made my own tiles, bet the issue is, that the lower layer is darker than it should be, and the upper layer is completely black except for the objects.

The blank black tile in the upper left corner of the upper layer chipset (and the black background used for the rest of the chipset) is supposed to be the transparent (void) tile. It's default color is usually pink in the RTP.
The problem is probably that the black color you used to replace the pink is not considered the default transparent color by the engine.
I should be able to fix this problem for you using a software called iDraw if you send me your chipsets. What I'll do is make sure the transparent color is set to that black in iDraw then save the chipset and send it back to you.
(or you can try to fix it yourself by getting iDraw here: http://rpgmaker.net/engines/custom/utilities/73/
If you open the palette in iDraw, the transparent color is the one in the upper left corner)

The idea of the blue/pink background for tiles is that it's a colour not used in any other tiles on the sheet, thus, when used, will not show up in the engine. It's a simple fix, though.
I'll make a video to show. Just download idraw for now (found in the utility section).
Hope that helps a bit.

I don't understand the point of iDraw here, why not just import it with the import option and click on black area on the preview to select it as transparent? I don't think pitch black is used anywhere else in this chipset either.
Because iDraw makes it easier to assign a certain colour as background, to edit 256 colour tiles and is just an awesome graphic program for 2k/3 editing all up. The recolour feature is dead easy to use and it even has an in-program animation previewer that allows you to save the animation as an avi file. It's a great little program and it's almost as though it were custom made just for 2k/3 images.
AND he'd mentioned that he had issues with the eyes being transparent in some of his graphics as well as the background, meaning that the colours were the same - thus he needs to change the colour of the eyes to something else.
Because just importing can fuck up your image if the same colour as the background had been used in another part of the main graphic.
