I tried to download a game for the "Revive the Dead" discussion.
The download said it was for 95.5 MB BUT the download button said it was a fraction over 100 MB and for that reason I cancelled it to check in case I hit the wrong download key.
Then I tried again and as in the past, was told to try again later, about 11min. as I had reached the download limit.....
Why is there a limit??

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

One reason for the limit, though this might not be the main reason, is to prevent someone from downloading and then canceling their own game over and over to boost their download count.
But the limit could probably be 2 downloads per hour instead of 1 download per fifteen minutes, since this kind of problem is common. That would let you retry immediately if you had a failed or cancelled download.

We did have it at one download per day. It should now be 1 per 15 minutes (or round-abouts). When you try to redownload it should tell you in the top left how long to wait.
I can download my own games as many times as I want and the number never changes. So it's actually possible to tie downloads to accounts /isps. There should be no limit. But the download count should stop by itself by tying itself to an account or isp.

I'd rather have seven downloads per week than one per fifteen minutes, honestly. That would end up at the same maximum cap as the old limit, but still let people redownload a game immediately if their download failed.
More likely it's tied to who is linked to the game page. Keeping a record of which people downloaded which game is bound to cause issues with the system, which is already finicky and slow atm. Maybe some time in the future, but today is not likely to be that day.
Also, seven? Yeah, no, that's too few. I've had to download a game about 10 times before - internet issues combined with repeated reuploads. Frankly, 15 minutes isn't hard to waste while waiting.

But my time is valuable, how am I supposed to play all the games on my desktop iffin' I gotta wait 15mins. :(

It's not difficult to get a friend to do it or log into a differnt PC, so yes there should be a limit.
