• What is the status about for the profile?

I assume you mean, what does status do? If you click on the Community header you'll be taken to the Forum/newpost hybrid page. From there you can see recently posted statuses. They're basically just personal updates (think Facebook) where you can share news or information. Don't spam statuses is all we ask~

• Do I use a URL to upload an avatar?

You may use a URL for an avatar, yes. If you look in the drop-down list under your name in the top-left you'll find a link called Locker. You can upload all kinds of files there and then use them for other sites and what-not. Think of it as your own personal file storage. Host an image there, copy the link and use it for your avatar if you wish. Keep in mind the locker has limits - they will grow when you gain more MS (which can be gained by adding to the site - donations, games, reviews, resources, articles, taking part in events, etc will all gain you MS)

• How does the user title work?

User titles are usually given by kentona (boss man) if he notices that you said something silly or funny in the forums. They can also be monikers given to you by others (for example, I'm well-known to be an advocate of RTP usage and am pretty good at it, thus was conferred the title RTP Princess many, many years ago ;p ) or just something random that people associate with you.

More often than not, they're silly, funny and quote something you said - but only if you're noticed to have said it (thus the talking lots on the forums). While you can change them by making a donation to the site, most choose not to even if they are silly, since they're a sort of badge of honour.

Yep, you can also make themed playlists for others to check out - like games that look awesome or games that are shorter than an hour and the like. ^.^

As for achievements (or badges), there are many different kinds and each comes with a Makerscore (MS) attached. Most are gained by taking part in events on the site but you can get some by your submissions being featured on the front page. Images, written articles and games are the most likely to be featured. There are also some special ones - like a donator's badge or having a featured game.
