Hey guys,
A few weeks ago I ordered myself a cheap WiFi LED bulb with the goal of dynamically lighting my room for games/tv. Here's the results. :)

I have no idea what you did, but the random flickers of light would probably be extremely annoying to me.
Hah, yeah it's a pretty rough attempt right now. To clarify there's an RGB LED bulb in my ceiling, and it's being set according to the average colour of a 100x100 sample from the centre of the display.
My sisters bf has one of these, but it's not dynamically hooked up the tv or anything. But he can take a picture of something on his phone and the bulb becomes that color. The future is now!
I think it'd be a lot nicer (for me anyways) if it just changed colour based on the overall colour tone of the screen. I don't know how hard it would be to rig that up, but I think it'd be cool. Probably a lot less jarring with the transitions as well.
This is a neat idea though. I might look into something like this in the future.

author=PizzaYep, that's basically the ideal mode, and I'll probably go one further and make it choose the dominant colour instead of the average.

The most common symptoms of cataracts are:
1. Cloudy or blurry vision.
2. Colors seem faded.
3. Glare. Headlights, lamps, or sunlight may appear too bright. A halo may appear around lights.
4. Poor night vision.
5. Double vision or multiple images in one eye.
6. Frequent prescription changes in your eyeglasses or contact lenses.
7. These symptoms also can be a sign of other eye problems. If you have any of these symptoms, check with your eye care professional.
