I'm curious about a couple of things...
1) Are we allowed to bump up topics, especially in the help topics even though it may or may not cause a double or possible triple post? I'm not talking about bumping the topic once per day, but maybe wait 3-4 days before bumping it. Is that allowed?
2) Necroposting. I know what it is, but why is this treated like it's such a bad thing? What happens if a person as a similiar question or likes to answer but the topic is two months to a year old?

I don't see why you'd need to bump here. The activity level/amount of threads being created isn't nearly enough for you to even think about bumping. :\
Well, by bump I think he means a post that doesn't add anything and is only made for the sake of moving the topic up the page.

I find that it's much easier to just create a new topic whether or not it's been done before. It gets to be quite annoying if it continues to happen but most new members do it anyway.

True, but the problem here is that many members only post in the topics that come up right away (as in the last topic of that section) and thus once yours falls a few topics behind, it will be ignored.
