MUSIC REQUESTS!

So, basically I've got an unreasonable amount of time on my hands due to some events in real life involving friends out of town and employment stuff. And like any happy little musician, I can't get better unless I write a helluva lot of music.

Every now and then I've kind of bothered one of my friends for a theme to write music around, and pretty much every time I didn't really get anything truly useful. It was so not cool.

But now I'm at an RPG forum! And who better to ask for music ideas? So, any sort of theme you wanna hear composed, hit me. Need music for a specific part of your game? Go for it! Morbidly curious what theme music would sound like for a robot squid overlord? Sure thing! Whatever you can imagine, I'll try my best to fit it.

As it is my mediums for composition include standard boring MIDIs and Finale Printmusic, which produces much better quality MP3s. Whichever you want is fine, but by default I'm probly gonna go to Finale.

So yeah, hit me with some ideas, yo.
After listening to some of his submissions, I would definitely say someone needs to jump on this offer =)
Alright, i'm never requested Music before, so hopefully you can get the feel of it by what i'm saying.

An over grown pathway with canopies and roots covering the sky with light seeping through leaves, bursting with deep colourful and varied nature. A mystical yet dark air to it.

Hope you have fun, if its a rubbish idea, i'll change it, just go with your imagination. MIDI or MP3 is fine xD
More people should take advantage of this, because original music can really set a nice consistency. I would ask for your help but I tend to compose my own music anyways. Good luck.

I'll call Danny Elfman to get on that right away
Alrighty, here we go.

I hope that's close enough to what you had in mind. I wish it'd turned out more ambient than melodic, but I guess that's for you to judge, now isn't it?
Weird, I had to copy and paste that into my nav bar, I couldn't just click it. Anyways, Im DLing now

EDIT: 10/10 this sounds so professional, seriously. Once I get my game underway, I would accept music from you in a heartbeat.

WHOAH, that's exactly what I wanted, I didn't expect it to be quite so good, honestly. I'll definitely ask for Music again some time if that's alright. Thank you very much.
No problem, and thank you for the generous feedback.

I'm not sure about the link. Either I suck at BBCode or this forum is being a jerk, but the URL thing just won't work right. Just copy paste the link and you should be fine, unless someone who kicks ass at BBCode knows exactly how to make it work. ;)

Righto then, I quite enjoyed that. Still taking requests then.

EDIT: Oh, and thanks to the miracle of Soundfonts, I also have the instruments for NES and SNES music.
I've always been curious if it's possible to make a regal-sounding Arabian-type theme, like city background music to the bustling capital of a desert empire. Only they're actually ahead of the world in technology (you know, like not the real world) and this city is pretty much the place to be.
Very impressive, Armanky. This took what, 8 hours? Wish I had that inspiration of yours! Great instrumentation, great character, great melody and arrangement. What's your musical background/education, I'm curious?

Keep up the requests, people!
Looks like you are really good with this. I'll be sure to ask you if i ever need some music. :)

Currently working on it. Might take another day or two, but I really like how it's turning out so far.

Mostly just sequencing a whole bunch of video game MIDIs and having an astouding amount of experiments in my MIDI folder. I'm going into College this fall and the only music class I've had is my high school choir (stresses sight-reading a whole bunch, which helped a lot I guess).

Other than that, not a lot. Just an appreciation for game music.

I might can fit in another request if anybody has an idea to throw out there.
How about a "Misty Ruins" sort of track? Sound like something you'd want to try?
Double post. Breakin' the rules, booyah! (that's a rule, right?)

I think it's horribly exaggerated as far as upbeat-ness, so sorry if I strayed a little from the original idea. I kind of went for "bustling" more than "regal" I guess.

Tell me whatcha think though.
Wow, this is perfect for like an "Intro to the City" shot, where it pans to various parts of the city showing it off. Very cinematic. It might be a little too eclectic for background music, but that's okay because it rocks.

I've never been able to make good Arabian-type music and I think I'll be able to get a lot of ideas out of this. Thank you!
I've got a lot of free time again if anyone wants to throw something out there.

I'm bringing this world back for you and for me.

Ok can you give me this music?

Idea: Inside a computer cyber space, users all around and data flying through the air. An epic chase of some sort is going on fast and techno with a nice beat.
Hm... I dunno, you listen. I actually used a SNES soundfont for this one, pretty much 'cause I started with it turned on and just kind of kept it throughout.
