CloseYou're making a post in a topic and you notice that you've misspelled a few words, or left out part of your convincing* argument or your links aren't working for some reason. You go to edit your post, and maybe you should bold some of the headings? Oh, how about you add another picture from your locker? And maybe some code to show off what script you're using.
Now what was the BBC/HTML for that again...? You have no idea, because that super-handy-dandy little bar of shortcuts that shows up when you're making the initial post isn't showing up for you. Oh well, no problem! You can just press the button that allows you to go in to full edit mode, right? Right? Oh, that's right. There is none.
I can't be the only one annoyed by this, yes? May we please have a shortcut bar pop up when we edit posts? Please? Pretty please with sprinkles?
And while we're at it, how about being able to edit the answers to polls, since after previewing a topic causes all bar one to vanish and some people (me) didn't check that before confirming... >.<;

The reason the bar doesn't appear when editing posts is because I just can't get it to work :(
What do you mean by this? I forget why I didn't include editing the poll questions. I will look into doing that. I will also look into getting the preview to work with polls.

I empathize with this. I mean, it's not like I "forget" what the HTML/BSS/whatever code is, but being able to see a preview of my edits would sometimes stop me from editing the edit.
I'm not sure if this is really such a big deal, though. It's really only a minor annoyance.

Yeah, this would be nice (though it isn't live-or-die essential).
More annoying than anything. Sometimes you've got a big ol' wall-a-words and just want to mess with it, but having to type it in all the time is annoying. Or you want to update your post with a ton of images, or lots and lots of hide codes or just want to prettify your post with colours or...
Usually I use shortcuts (CTRL+B) but they aren't available if the bar isn't there so having to type it out is annoying.
I'm thinking more bulk posting like with the Write Off topics where everything is kept in one post and need to be re-edited every time you put something new in them. It can be a time waster and some people just don't have the time. (NOTE: I've got gams to mak damnit!)

Fair enough. I never use the bar, so I guess it doesn't affect me nearly as much.

I agree. It's tedious to keep editing forum game posts. The op is used for a lot of stuff. Although there are more important examples. Thanks for it Ankylo!
Onto my problem now. It would be nice if previews could be seen without an internet connection (laptops and long posts). My internet is kinda shakey too. This probably doesn't affecdt many, but I would appreciate it. I'm sure if it's as doable though.
