PRIMARY SHOWCASE GAME... ON THE FORUMS?

This is a simple idea, but I think it'd be pretty cool: put a link (and possibly allow a tiny banner) to the poster's Primary Showcase game under makerscore. I know that I usually like to check out a game after seeing it in the screenshot topic or hearing about it in the GD&M forum, and that'd make it easier (and thus more appealing) to visit.
It's not like a signature where it gets in the way, it would actively support this site as a community of game devs, and it couldn't be abused since dummy projects created simply for a goofy banner wouldn't be accepted in the first place.
Just an idea...!

Hmm, I wouldn't mind seeing a simple hyperlink under makerscore, such as "Flagship game: A Tales of Valera" or whatever.
I swear I intended to do this, but for some nagging reason I think I looked at it and found that it wasn't going to be as straightforward to implement as I'd hoped. I can't remember why offhand...
I don't know how the site handles or anything, could it work by having it just be a url that 1) links to something on rpgmaker.net and 2) isn't an image/mp3/etc., but a web page? I don't know how difficult or not it is to check a url like that.
...what I'm trying to say is that then you don't have to force site to go through the user database (which WIP told me a while ago adds a lot to loading times), but they can just link to whatever page/review/etc. they want.

You can put it in the user title

iirc Only users who have donated to RMN can edit their user titles. If this does get added it'd be better for every user to have access to it (and not forgo a user title in place of it).
yeah, it would be better. just pointing out that it is possible to do with the current state of the site
heh

Uh oh, time to activate the Ankylo-Signal!
Also please remove that :)
(The first incarnation of user-editable user titles allowed for direct HTML which, uh, is a bit of a security problem never mind the other awful stuff you could do with that kind of access to the DOM)

Soli... we're all making games. It's not a flashy, huge signature going HAY GUYZ LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKK, it's "i'm making a game. this is the game I am making, because we are all making games"
I don't think you could put a list of materia scripts you've dropped in within a single-line hyperlink

I like this idea... some users have an enormous backlog of games and I have absolutely no idea what they're working on currently. I would definitely restrict any title to a line, max.
EDIT: Oops, I've been here three years and never saw the Primary Showcase option. Still, I like the idea of associating a project with a forum poster. A big part of independent projects is that they're more infused with the personality of the creator, and learning more about that creator is always fun.

I'm not sure if I like this idea. I guess it could be nice, but as time goes by the forum design is getting less cleaner and that worries me.
I think it would be ideal if the link were to be placed not under makerscore, but in the drop-down menu in our screen names, and if said menu dropped on 'mouse-over' rather than 'on-click'. (On-click would take us directly to the profile) Could that be possible?
...Something like this:
Craze (Click to go to profile, as it used to be)
-Crazegame1
-Crazegame2
-Crazegame3
-------------------
Send PM to user (Only other useful option here)
Ignore user (This should be away somewhere)
Close (Just move the cursor or tap elsewhere)
Edit: @Kentona: Well, it's nothing significant... yet. But I wouldn't like for it to get there. Every new little thing affects the aesthetic appeal of the forums, slightly. Like the way the "Last edited" message is displayed, for example.

I'm all for it but only one and only with your current Main Project. Or, in the case of having all three games, three small 10x10 icons.
I know that Link and GRS have been fiddling with bbcode in their user titles, but any further discussion on this on the staff end?
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

author=kentonaWell, you've added the drop-down menus, and added a few more options to the input box, but that's really about it. I guess maybe the community portal counts? I think he's just being a fuddy-duddy, though.
I am not sure what you mean by less cleaner - the forums haven't changed in a long time.
I will say I kinda like the idea presented here. I think if it were just text links, though, it would be kinda worthless - the name alone doesn't say much about a game, a tiny banner is better. But then, I guess you could always use your avatar as a "banner" for your flagship game.
