The Law of the Universe states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. This creates balance throughout the universe. But what happens if a God tries to take away that balance? What if one young man holds the power to create such a ripple throughout the universe, and there is no opposite ripple to counteract it? The ultimate battle of Good vs. Evil is about to begin. Both sides wish to take away that balance, to flood the world with Good or Evil. But is a universe of nothing but Good or Evil really such a good thing?

I've been trying to work on this, but lately I've just been blocked. More stress and daily life just seems to keep me from being able to work on it. I think I'm just gonna let everyone know that Equilibriums progress has stopped and I don't know when I'll be able to work on it again. This game will for sure one day be completed, but I guess now just isn't that time.

Well it's been almost half a month now so I decided I'd update this profile. I've gotten back to the point where I'm able to work on the game. I've been messing around with the RPGMAKER VX lately, and that was definitely fun. Lol. Kinda dissappointed really, but was still fun.

Anyway, today I've been doing nothing but working on Equilibrium. I've added a few more scenes to the game and I'm working on the database some right now trying to add more variety and strategy to the game. (Note that Aurous is a huge fan of strategy games. xD)

Overrall I think the game is coming along okay. I'm kinda dissappointed in some areas so far with it but I am only one person and only human. I've done far better than the other attempts I've made on this game in the past. And I think it may actually turn out really well some day. I'd like to think I've come pretty far seeing as how I've only been working on the game in the XP for 2 months now. I'm not sure when exactly I started but it was after Thanksgiving. =)

I can't say for sure when I will be releasing again. I'm adding more to what I originally had released. I figure if I released something like that, people might be turned off from coming back for the next. But then again, I could be wrong seeing as how out of 5 people who tested it, 4 said they Loved it.

Well anyway, as for the next release I'm expecting at least another full quest. Which may bring the entire demo to around 6-7 hours of gameplay. I'm really-really going to try to put and deepen the storyline further, and add alot of extra random content. Regardless of whether it plays a big part in the game, I just always liked being able to go around a town and talk to random people. Which the game is lacking righ tnow. It needs more life. I suppose that's all I hafta say for now.

Be looking for the next release within February some time, I think that's safe to say. But again, I could be just under-estimating myself. =)

Yeah it's been a month and I promised a release, but a lot of things have come up, and a bunch of problems. I won't go into detail, I'll spare you my emo-ness. But anyway, I should be working on Equilibrium again pretty soon.

The demo is up for download. Don't expect much of the story unveiling in the demo, it's mostly just for test purposes. It should be completely functional and fairly fun. Just leave me some comments on constructive criticism, and any bugs you find; it would be greatly appreciated.
--EDIT--
Well I've already became aware of some pretty big bugs in this release, so I've take it down. It'll be a few days before I release the new version. And thanks for the comments.

Game Development

Note:
--------
This game will be using default tilesets and tilesets I gather around the web. Don't expect much graphic originality. I will be working on revamping the battle system in the future, and at least getting some original character sets for the main characters.

Right now I'm mostly working on getting the game working, so if I release a demo and alot of detail is left out, it will be fixed in the future.

About the intro:
-------------
In the beginning of the game alot of detail will be skipped on what happened in around 12 years of time. The reason why is because the entire story of this game is worked on by more than just myself. My girlfriend is writing a book, which "fills in the blanks" of those years. It features the journey I mention in the game, with Mai, Malachai, and three other people. This game picks up after those events, and continues on until the end.

I've released a demo with maybe an hour, possibly more, of playing content. I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys tested the game, left some comments, and also notified me of any bugs that my testers and I missed. Oh and, this demo isn't entirely complete either. Alot of detail has been left out and will be filled in at a later date.

Huh..... I like the main idea of Newton's Third Law, it's a nifty thing to build around. And relating it with good, evil, gods... sounds pretty appealing. Chances are I'll check it out once you finish at least a demo.

Just a note about your dialogue; you should cut down on the use of ellipses, and when you do use them remember that it's always three periods, no more or less.
Shame RMXP lags on my Stne Age computer. I'd like to try this out.
lol "emo-ness"

I quite like the title screen.
Sounds pretty good.

On another note not at all related to this game. There is a movie with the same name, albeit with a different story. If you haven't seen it you should check it out, it's incredible. Not sure why I felt the need to throw that in though.
Awome plot, can't wait to see release.
